Breathe Clearly. Think Sharply. Feel Balanced Again.
Discover the Power of the Nasal Release Technique (NRT) at The Wellness Path
For many people, chronic congestion, sinus pressure, migraines, or even poor sleep have become part of everyday life. You’ve tried medications, nasal sprays, sleep studies, maybe even surgery — but nothing seems to truly fix the issue.
What if the real solution wasn’t just about treating symptoms, but gently restoring the structure of your body’s natural airway system — helping your body heal, breathe, and function the way it was designed to?
That’s what the Nasal Release Technique (NRT) is all about.
At The Wellness Path, Dr. Vic Manzo offers this safe, noninvasive, and effective method to help restore proper breathing, cranial balance, and overall nervous system harmony — allowing you to reclaim better sleep, sharper focus, and renewed energy.

What Is the Nasal Release Technique (NRT)?
The Nasal Release Technique (NRT) is a gentle, noninvasive procedure designed to help restore balance and mobility to the bones of the skull and nasal passages. It involves the careful insertion of a small, soft balloon device into the nasal passage, which is then briefly inflated to apply light pressure outward.
This process helps realign cranial bones, release tension in the sinus cavities, and restore proper airflow through the nasal passages. It’s safe, quick, and surprisingly comfortable for most patients — yet the effects can be profound and lasting.
How NRT Works
NRT works by gently restoring motion and alignment to the cranial bones and nasal passages, which:
- Opens up the sinus and airway passages
 - Improves oxygen flow and drainage
 - Reduces inflammation and pressure
 - Supports brain function and nervous system regulation

The result? Many patients experience clearer breathing, less head pressure, improved focus, and even emotional release as the body regains balance.
What Conditions Can NRT Help With?
1. Airway, Sleep Apnea & Deviated Septum
The Nasal Release Technique helps with airway issues, sleep apnea, and deviated septums by using a noninvasive, structural approach that adjusts the bones of the skull — especially around the nasal passages.
It involves inserting a small inflatable balloon into the nasal passages and gently inflating it to create outward pressure on the surrounding bones and cranial sutures. This process helps:
- Expand sinus cavities and nasal passages, reducing airway resistance
 - Realign nasal bones to relieve pressure and correct structural imbalances
 - Enhance nasal airflow, improving oxygen intake during sleep
 - Reduce snoring and apnea episodes naturally
 - Promote better sleep quality and energy

2. Concussion Recovery & Post-TBI Support
After a concussion or traumatic brain injury, subtle misalignments and restrictions in cranial movement can lead to persistent symptoms — headaches, dizziness, “brain fog,” anxiety, or difficulty concentrating.
NRT helps restore balance and motion to the cranial sutures, allowing proper cerebrospinal fluid flow, neurological communication, and pressure regulation. Patients often report:
- Clearer thinking and mental focus
 - Reduced head pressure or tightness
 - Improved coordination and balance
 - Fewer headaches or migraines
 - Better sleep and emotional calm

3. Chronic Sinus, Migraine & Head Pressure Relief
If you’ve lived with recurring sinus infections, pressure behind the eyes, or chronic headaches, NRT can be life-changing.
By improving sinus drainage and relieving cranial compression, it helps reduce inflammation and pressure naturally. Patients often experience:
- Fewer sinus infections
 - Relief from facial tightness and congestion
 - Less reliance on medications or nasal sprays
 - More energy and mental clarity

4. TMJ, Headaches & Facial Tension
Structural imbalances in the skull can also affect the jaw and facial muscles, contributing to TMJ dysfunction, clenching, and jaw pain.
NRT gently restores harmony between the jaw, skull, and upper neck, helping release deep muscular tension and improving alignment for long-term relief.
5. Cognitive, Emotional & Neurological Balance
Because NRT affects cranial and neurological flow, many patients notice subtle but meaningful improvements beyond the physical — including emotional release, stress reduction, and enhanced mental clarity.
What to Expect During a Session
Your NRT session with Dr. Vic is personalized and gentle. After a brief evaluation and explanation, a small, soft balloon is placed into one nostril at a time and quickly inflated to help open the nasal passage.
Most people describe it as a brief “pressure pop” sensation followed by an immediate feeling of openness and clarity.
A session typically takes 15-20 minutes, with most patients noticing benefits after just one treatment. For lasting structural changes, a short series of sessions may be recommended.
Real Patient Results
I used to always have chronic nasal restriction of air through my right nostril with a mild deviated septum, which led to a lifelong issue of chronic sinus infections that turned into sleep apnea and other issues. Since getting 5 sessions of NRT, I can fully breathe out of my right nostril. I’m sleeping deeper, and my workouts and recovery have massively improved since I don’t have any more nasal air restrictions.
