Why We Test With Our Hands, Not a Machine

Most exams hand you a printout and ask you to trust it. Ours is different: we test the technology you were born with — your own nervous system — using a hands-on functional neurological exam built on years of studying functional and chiropractic neurology and more than 15 years of clinical experience. You feel the findings yourself, in the room, in real time — your own balance, your own eye tracking, your own reflexes — rather than being asked to take our word for a number on a screen.

What Actually Happens At Your Visit

1. The History

We start with a deep dive into your health timeline — birth history, injuries, symptoms, and the patterns that brought you in. The more we understand about your timeline, the more precisely we can evaluate what we find.

2. The Functional Neurological Exam

Hands-on testing across your seven neurological centers — how you take in information, how well you hold yourself steady, and how your system manages stress and recovery. For children, this also includes age-appropriate developmental and reflex testing.

3. Your NEI Baseline

We walk through your actual numbers together, region by region, so you understand exactly what we found and why it matters — not a generic explanation, your own results.

4. Your Care Plan

A personalized plan built around what we actually found in your exam, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

The NeuroFoundation Assessment takes approximately one hour. This includes the functional neurological exam, your full health history, and a walkthrough of your results.

I’ve had a different kind of exam or scan somewhere else before — is this different?

Yes. We don’t use scanning technology. Every finding in your NeuroFoundation Assessment comes from a hands-on functional neurological exam — you experience the testing yourself, in real time, rather than being handed a printout to interpret.
